Sunday school for children, teens, twenty-something, and adults starts at 9:30 AM every Sunday

A mid-week Bible Study is held at 7:00 PM every Wednesday

Jim Garrett, Pastor

Pastor Jim has been serving the Muncie First Brethren Church since 2000. Jim grew up as a PK (Pastor's Kid) and spent his teen years in Muncie as his father served the Muncie congregation. Jim graduated from Yorktown High School in 1982, married his wife Elizabeth in 1985 and attended various universities before enrolling in Ashland Theological Seminary in 1990. He first served the Lanark First Brethren Church, in Lanark, Illinois from 1993-2000. Jim and Elizabeth have three children.

About Us...

The Muncie First Brethren Church is affiliated with the Brethren Church, Ashland, Ohio. We have been serving from the current location since 1967. Prior to that we were located at Kirby and Blaine as a daughter site of the Oakville First Brethren Church. "First" only suggests that those who were involved in the original move to Muncie believed that other Brethren churches would be established within the city.
